Cria Watch

The spring and summer months at the farm is full of anticipation and exitement as we wait the arrive of our precious crias!  Alpaca pregnancy is a long one, so waiting for the time of delivery is often difficult.  We watch for signs, but not all alpacas give signs.  It has been said to pull up a chair, sit on your hands, watch and wait!!

These are our females that are due in 2024!

Chloe is expecting her first baby in June of 2024, so cria watch will begin two weeks before that date. Alpacas have a gestation period of about 11.5 months, so we’ve been waiting a long time for this baby to arrive!  Chloe is bred to Christian Gray.

Bella is expecting her baby in August of 2024, so cria watch will begin two weeks before that date. Alpacas have a gestation period of about 11.5 months, so we’ve been waiting a long time for this baby to arrive!  Bella is bred again to Peruvian Frankie and we are hoping for a girl version of Finn!  Fingers crossed for a dark rose gray!

Seraphina is expecting her first baby in August of 2024, so cria watch will begin two weeks before that date. Alpacas have a gestation period of about 11.5 months, so we’ve been waiting a long time for this baby to arrive!  Seraphina is bred to Court Jester Chain of Command, a rose gray herdsire

Ekho is expecting her baby in September of 2024, so cria watch will begin two weeks before that date. Alpacas have a gestation period of about 11.5 months, so we’ve been waiting a long time for this baby to arrive!  Ekho is bred to our herdsire Elite!  We are predicting a fawn baby out of this pairing!

Ophelia is expecting her baby in September of 2024, so cria watch will begin two weeks before that date. Alpacas have a gestation period of about 11.5 months, so we’ve been waiting a long time for this baby to arrive!  Ophelia is bred to Rare Gem Dunkin, an appie, so here's hoping for an appoloosa female!

Shady Lady  is expecting her baby in September of 2024, so cria watch will begin two weeks before that date. Alpacas have a gestation period of about 11.5 months, so we’ve been waiting a long time for this baby to arrive!  Shady Lady is bred to Vintage Harley Quinn, a harlequin appoloosa so we are very much anticipating this cria!

Ginger is expecting her first baby in September of 2024, so cria watch will begin two weeks before that date. Alpacas have a gestation period of about 11.5 months, so we’ve been waiting a long time for this baby to arrive!  Ginger is bred to multi-time color champion Black Beard!  

Annabelle is expecting her baby in October of 2024, so cria watch will begin two weeks before that date. Alpacas have a gestation period of about 11.5 months, so we’ve been waiting a long time for this baby to arrive!  She's bred to our herdsire Peruvian Frankie.  Hoping both of their gray genes to work a little magic!
